Delayed!

Today was supposed to be the day. The plan was to have dinner and stay at my mom's last night, then leave early this morning. But, the reports on The Weather Channel about the icey conditions today delayed my trip by a day. So I will be leaving early Sunday morning. It has been a crazy week. The movers arrived just after 10am on Monday. It took almost four hours for them to wrap up my furniture before leaving for the storage unit. When everything was out it felt odd standing in that empty apartment. I'd only been there a year but it had become my home. I'm not going to lie, a tear did come to my eye when I was ready to leave. Then, by 4pm all my stuff was in the 10x25 storage unit and I was ready to start my adventure. I am so happy I decided to stay at an AirBnB not too far away from my mom and the storage place to do the pilot. It was definitely needed. I had way too much with me. I think I was at the storage unit putting more stuff away every day this week. I was able to stick to the plan to decide on how many bags to bring and not exceed that. It took A LOT of refining, but it's done. I am not a model minimalist yet, but I'll get there. The AirBnB in Bensalem, PA was adorable. It was very nicely decorated and really comfy. Bringing all my crap up the steep staircase sucked - but I got it done. Interestingly enough, this is the artwork that was in the first AirBnB of my journey ... not only is the first line very fitting, but I actually have a plaque that says the same thing. Guess it was meant to be. :-) ReplyForward
