First Stop!

The drive from NJ to Charlotte, NC yesterday was long but traffic free! Nine hours exactly to get here. It wasn't mishap free, however. My car had been in my mother's garage for the last two days, so it was unlocked. Which means, I didn't need my key fob to unlock the doors when I was ready to leave Sunday morning. (Do you get where this is going?) After driving for about an hour or so I realized my keys weren't in my jacket ... or in the usual places in the car I usually keep them. The car was still moving, and I had turned it off and on when I stopped for gas, so I knew the key fob had to be in the car. I pulled into the next rest area and searched! My key chain was nowhere to be found. Luckily, after searching through every crevasse of my pocketbook and backpack I found my spare key fob!

And so, it begins.... the journey through my travel bucket list. It's starting off great. After going to Sunday evening mass, I had a nice dinner with Meg & Tom Ferber at the Comet Grill last night. At the moment I'm in a Vrbo apartment in the Historic Dilworth section of Charlotte. It's a really pretty neighborhood.

Halfway through mass I noticed the painting above the alter. Something about it seemed very out of place. Take a look at the picture ... notice anything odd?
